who we are

toadlabs is responsible for processing personal data through this website.

no cookies, no tracking

this website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. we use no analytics, no ad networks and no social media buttons that follow you. the fonts and everything else come from our own server; your browser contacts no other parties when you visit. that’s why we don’t ask for cookie consent.

what we process and why

• contact form and email. your name, email address, your message and (if you tell us) what you want to have made. we use this to answer your question and, if you want, to make a proposal. legal basis: your request and our legitimate interest in replying (article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). messages sent through the form arrive on our own mail server.
• server logs. on every visit our server automatically records your IP address, the time, the page requested and your browser type. we need this to keep the site secure and working and to spot abuse. legal basis: our legitimate interest (article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

how long we keep data

• messages via the form or email: as long as needed to handle your question, then at most 12 months. if you become a client, we keep what’s needed for our accounts as long as the law requires (7 years for tax purposes in the Netherlands).
• server logs: at most 12 months.

who we share data with

we don’t sell data and don’t share it with anyone, except the party we need to run the site:

• hosting: a hosting provider within the European Union.
• email and contact form: our own mail server, also within the European Union. no external email service is involved.

all your data stays within the European Economic Area (EEA).

security

the site only works over an encrypted connection (https). servers and accounts are secured and only accessible to those who really need access.

your rights

you can access your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict its processing, object to it and have it transferred. email hallo@toadlabs.nl; we reply within a month.

if you disagree with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

changes

if anything changes about the site or what we process, we update this statement. the date at the top shows when that last happened.
